More Than A Store
At Jolie, we want to be remembered as more than a store. We take time each year to give back to our community through volunteering, partnering with local non-profits, being an advocate and supporting other local small businesses, and finding ways to be more eco-friendly as a business.
Since we opened, we have partnered with dozens of non-profits such as In Christy's Shoes, the American Heart Association, Nationwide Children's Hospital, and the Salvation Army of Central Columbus by donating items for auctions, giving monetary donations, or spending time volunteering.
Each holiday season we host an "Angel Tree" Toy Drive through the Salvation Army which helps children and families in need. We also spend time volunteering at the distribution center to help sort through the donations and food for each of the families who came through.
We are strong supporters of equal rights and non-discrimination policies and are proud members of Ohio Business Competes.
In addition to giving back to those in need, we are working on ways to give back to our planet. We currently use paper shopping bags that are 100% recyclable, we have stopped putting tissue paper in bags and printing receipts (unless asked for), and if you opt to go bag-less while checking out you will save $0.50! While there is still much more that we can do, we are excited to continue finding new ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle!
Recently, we teamed up with CarbonClick, a New Zealand company making it easy for people and businesses to help fight climate change.
CarbonClick is a new green button at checkout. When you click it, a small contribution is added to your basket which purchases carbon offsets. These offsets reduce the environmental impact of the carbon emissions related to the purchase. CarbonClick's offsets fund forest restoration, tree planting, and renewable energy projects around the world. We’re proud to be part of the fight against climate change and hope you will make a small contribution for a sustainable future!
